Who we are:

We are a worker cooperative company, made up of qualified, experienced scientific, and business professionals with a common interest in Natural Health. We are not a group of medical doctors. (Our editorial board). We believe that web technology can bring advances and simplification to what in some instances are ancient therapies. We originated as a spin out of the University of Massachusetts. We are managed by the values of contributing to the world rather than taking. Most of us are women and the actual company is 100% owned by its staff - therefore we do not have to pamper to the short term requirements of a VC. We are highly, philanthropic and we contribute most of our profits for sponsored research and education. We are the first and a unique web site for providing free personal health records adapted to enable private personal monitoring of health supplements, medication and your wellness. Our story:

Natural Health Formula, Inc. was formed to commercialize a neutraceutical, called Mindset PLUS, which was failing to be noticed by pharmaceutical companies, in spite of good early stage scientific evidence for the possible prevention of early stage Alzheimer's disease. Big Pharma had little interest because it comprised of a cocktail of existing off-the-shelf health supplements and therefore could not be fully protected by patents in the same way as a prescription drug. There are numerous natural remedies that have equivalent pharmacological promise.

However, the reality is that no private company will pay for the expensive lengthy clinical trials. We also are not that enamored with the ethics of all animal studies that proceed human studies. There are literally hundreds of recent and historical natural remedies that have been proven effective for prevention or maintenance of wellness but cannot be classified as medicines for lack of clinical evidence.

Recently, there have been multiple advances and continue to be developments that enable better personal tracking of your health through secure web technologies. We have partnered with what is probably the most secure personal health record available (developed by the Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, and MIT) and made an investment in it to soon enable you to BOTH track the effectiveness of conventional medicines, supplements and other therapies on your wellness. In November 2008, we started to provide free personal health diaries and journals. We consider this one of our ways of paying it forward.
